A left-stapled program measuring nearly 8-1/2" by 11" and containing 20 pages including front and rear covers. This is the 1972 program with vivid pink covers and illustration of a couple on a motorcycle. The program contains a lengthy article "Rock & Roll: The Evolution of a Revolution in Music" that winds through the pages and is packed with black-and-white photographs of the 1950s greats with short histories, including: Bill Haley and The Comets, The Shirelles, Little Richard, The Platters, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, The Coasters, Paul Anka, Dion, The Drifters, Neil Sedaka, Jackie Wilson, many others. LAID IN are two original tickets from the February 18, 1972 concert "Memories of El Monte Dance and Show" produced by Universal and held at the El Monte Legion Stadium and featuring (as printed on the tickets) Chuck Rio & The Champs, Tony Allen, The Olympics, Rosie & The Originals, Jessie Hill, Marvin & Johnny, Ron Holden, Big Joe Turner, Vernon Green & The Medallions, Robert & Johnny, The Penguins, Bobby Day, Don Julian & The Meadow Larks, and The Coasters. Condition: (program) - light crinkling to upper edge area of front cover; staples very minimally age-rusted; short closed tear along outer lower narrow spine fold; (tickets) - both tickets previously, and lightly folded; light stains to second ticket.
