Wraps with light wear most notably along the edges and spines, a few creases, staples oxidized, several issue with address labels on the front cover, two with the remains of a removed label, very good or better overall. Jet Magazine was first published in November of 1951, originally billed as "The Weekly Negro News Magazine." The magazines goal was to provide "news coverage on happenings among Negroes all over the U.S. in entertainment, politics, sports, social events as well as features on unusual personalities, places and events." Some notable cover appearances found in this group include the Jackson Five, Janet Jackson, Redd Fox, Sugar Ray Leonard, Gary Coleman, James Brown, Bill Cosby, Rick James, Mr. T., and many others.
