Published in London in 1906 this is the First Edition of this very rare book about the invention of a Flying Car and its use in Criminal activities, the book features a wonderful pictorial cover depicting the Flying Car swooping low over an unsuspecting road user who has been thrown from his road car, another pictorial image is produced on the spine, internally the book is illustrated with a frontispiece by the artist Harold Piffard, which repeats the image on the books cover, 8 inches tall approx., 255 pages, an early science fiction themed novel, figured in Bleiler, Checklist of Fantastic literature, and Locke Spectrum of Fantasy. The covers are a little rubbed at edges, corner bumps, spine illustration a little rubbed, internally old ownership name to front endpaper, noticeable foxing to opening and closing couple of pages, minor foxing within with some foxing to outer page edges , else in good general condition.
