Spine titles a bit rubbed, one teensy hole on the rear side of the spine edge. Binding tight. DJ is VERY GOOD ; not clipped ($3.50) very clean. corners have chips and a couple of small closed tears, square chip to spine tail that's on the rear side. Spine mildly sunned. Bound with gray cloth over boards with black lettering on the spine and decorations on the front cover. Nice bright DJ with white lettering and cubist blend of grays, blues and purples on the DJ. There's 1 inch closed tear at the top of the DJ near the spine, hardly visible with the mylar DJ protector. No date on the title page. Copyright page dated 1959. Stated Sixth Impression. 253 pages. Signed and inscribed by the author on the front endpaper, "For Troy McKinney - Who is now 21 (at least) Pat Frank 1/2/64." An important sci-fi title, and one of the first post-apocalyptic novels.
