His service was with the Union Army during the civil war joining in 1862 and served as Quart master of Company "A" , 9th. Michigan Volunteer Cavalry. In 1863 Rnsom's fight end on the field and he was captured and sent to Andersonville Georgia Where the fighting to stay alive was tougher the battle field war fair.Loses at Andersonville Prison took the lives of over 13,000 brave Union Soldiers. This is a true first hand account of life in a CSA prisoner of War camp. Condition : Very Good , with edge rubs and bumps front hinge has the start of a crack. Size: 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
