[viii]+50(last blank)+[16](My Country), 44 plates (30 coloured and hand-tipped, including the frontispiece), plus 7 small mounted coloured plates illustrating the poem My Country by Dorothea Mackellar, black & white text illustrations, main text printed in brown & black, My Country printed in red & brown; demy 4to; qr. maroon cloth, spine lettered in gilt, grey papered boards, lettered and decorated in navy, maroon & gilt, fore-corners lightly bruised; dust wrapper, lightly soiled and creased, edges rubbed and split, name in ink on front panel above title; bookplate of Benjamin Tindale on upper pastedown, the endpapers faintly offset, upper hinge starting, one corner of plate XIV slightly creased, most leaves lightly creased at bottom fore-corner, a little light foxing; Angus & Robertson Ltd., Sydney, 1918. First edition. *Posthumously published, after Hilder's death from tuberculosis in April 1916. The text includes 'Jesse Jewhurst Hilder' by Betram Stevens, 'Recollections of Hilder' by Harry Julius, and 'Memories of Hilder' by Sydney Ure Smith.
