First edition bound in maroon cloth with red and silver lettering. Frontis photo of the author. Black & white additional photo illustrations. 8vo size, 370pp. A Near Fine copy in a Very Good dj. Owners bookplate on the front endpaper. Minor rub to the spine tips. Contents are clean, tight & unmarked. VG dust jacket has two small, shallow chips to the top edge of the front panel, a shallow 1" long ship to the head of the spine and 4 small chip to the top edge of the rear panel. Also a few rub marks along the folds, A decent copy of this significant & important account the development, use and aftermath of the Atomic Bomb by one of the Directors of the Manhattan Project.
