About this Item
Jonathan Cape. London. 1959. 254 pages. First UK edition, third printing. Book is tight. Binding and hinges are sound. Green cloth is bright and clean. No writing within. Book's only flaw is a vintage cloud stain at base of endaper, with small faint shadowing on a couple of consecutive pages. Original DJ with 15s net price intact on flap. At base of DJ flap is the same moisture stain, that slightly smears the ink of previous owner's name on base of flap. A couple of specks of that ink transferred to endpaper. DJ shows light rubbing at tips. Book comes from the library of celebrated sports car photographer Peter Coltrin, whose images of 1950's Italian sports cars are widely collected by Ferrari, Maserati, and Lamborghini enthusiasts, among others. Mr. Coltrin's personal bookplate adorns the front pastedown, matching name on DJ flap. VG/VG. Seller Inventory # 003625
