Les Actions A Distance Les Forces Electrostaticques Et La Gravitation

B&W Illustrations; This is a trade sized paperback with light cardstock covers and a glued spine. The book is in Very Good- condition and was issued without a dust jacket. The covers have noticeable fading / toning. The spine has chips to both ends and some light nicks and chipping to the cover edges. The text pages are clean, but noticeably toned. "The gravitational force is a force that attracts any object with mass. Every object, including you, is pulling on every other object in the entire universe! This is called Newton's Universal Law of Gravitation. Admittedly, you don't have a very large mass and so, you're not pulling on those other objects much. And objects that are really far apart from each other don't pull on each other noticeably either. But the force is there and we can calculate it. While dealing with gravitational forces, we come across masses. Masses are always positive so the product of masses always gives positive value. The nature of gravitational force is attractive or in other words inwards. Hence, negative sign is given for the gravitational force due to its inward direction Electrostatics is a branch of physics that deals with the phenomena and properties of stationary or slow-moving electric charges.".…
