Black cloth overs with bevelled edges and gilt design on cover (same design as the last page in the book). Frontispiece of Sutro who was an engineer, miner, builder of the Sutro Tunnell and the Sutro Baths, bibliophile, philanthropist, and mayor of San Francisco. Condition: Very Good+. Previous owner s name and address on front endpaper in pencil. One inch oval label from Newbegin s Bookstore in Union square on back endpaper. Residue from sheet of paper on front endpaper. All corners sharp, no damage to spine, tight and clean. A beautiful small book. I will be adding new books to my Antiquarian list weekly.
