The books are the original binding in 3/4 leather with marbled ipaper-covered boards. The books have light edge wear. The outer gutters are weakened and there is the previous owner's book plate inside front cover. The front board of the 1st volume is detached. Each volume has a hand-tinted engraved frontis, tissue guard, and hand-tinted engraved title page. Translated from the French. The only printed date is 1809. Size: 24mo - over 5" - 5¾" tall.
