Synopsis:
This is an original, enlightening, hands-on guide to leadership in South Africa. It explains the problems that lead to a breakdown in communication between different cultural groups in business and interpersonal relationships. In the process, it debunks some myths that are still clearly entrenched in South African society. The book then gives step-by-step guidelines on how to implement interactive leadership, and outlines simple but powerful approaches to dealing with the most common leadership problems. It is not just aimed at the business community, but at anyone wishing to gain a deeper understanding of and unique perspective on life in a multicultural society. The African Way deals with real-life practicalities of managing transformation, culture and diversity, and will give readers a deeper insight into, and understanding of, African culture and ways of thinking.
