Item description from seller

First edition, first impression. vi, 312pp. Whie cloth-covered boards with metallic blue lettering on the spine. Deep blue endpapers. 8vo. Cloth very slightly rubbed on corners and spine ends else volume is neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original matte dust jacket, a little shelf worn and gently bumped at edges. A deeply political discourse on the tensions between right and left-wing politics in the European context in the latter part of the 20th century, arguing strong that the de facto embrace of big business and laissez-faire trade systems has rendered the ordinary person insecure.
