Wraps are not bent or folded; spine is secure in saddle staples; text is secure in binding. 34 pp 8vo. The first travelers through NM saw only a sandy, desolate territory. But, under that facade there was a rich soil that grew corn, squash, timber, cotton and other crops as well as support a vast livestock/ranching operation. This book touches on Indian history, the Spaniards, the arrival of the Anglos, and the further development of the state and the agriculture that fed it, clothed it, and allowed it to thrive. A clean very presentable copy.
