Chicago: The Phillip Andrews Publishing Co., 1943. First Edition. July, 1943 issue, Volume 3, No. 1. Quarto, photo-illustrated stapled wraps, 66 pp. Tiny crease top right front cover, modest small-scale edge wear and places of light soiling. Bright & solid, a Very Good Plus copy. See scans. This issue focuses on: Servicing the Allison V-12; Gyropilot Part I; Know Your Fuels; Hi-Shear Rivets - and of course much else; see scan of contents page. A two-man Brewster maintenance crew services a Brewster Buffalo carrier fighter on the cover. Text, diagrams, photos, schematics throughout, and, as one might expect, several nice, collectible ads with illustrations showing aircraft, including the Curtiss Seagull and the legendary Boeing Flying Fortress, along with ads for a variety of aircraft needs and accessories of the era. Nice piece of aviation history, in better than very good shape. Please see scans. LMILIT.
