This is the 44 page booklet that aspiring pilots would use to help them cram for the examinations for aviation candidates. Obviously, it is basic mathematics, but every so often there are examples that have clearly been inserted to make it seem particularly relevant to aviation. A little piece of history introduced on the front as follows: "A Rapid Course in simple mathematics designed to meet the special needs of ATC cadets and other entrants to the RAF. Simply and cleverly arranged to overcome difficulties caused by variations in individual standards of education".
