These 272 pages of Alberta farming history begin in fall 1906 when the family arrived from Illinois. The land they chose was east of Castor and south of Hardisty. Read more about : Crabby the cow. Also : Ross Lake, Ribstone Flat, Stettler, Walter Railey, Eric Eksandh, Tom McGinnis, Provincial Land Office. Mt. Lookout schoolhouse, antitoxin, and Sounding Lake. Winter, fire, dances, mail, and mosquitoes dominate many of the pages. Cond : Boards are light khaki green. End-papers are white. Green d,j, is mylar protected. D.J. photo is of Mrs, Roberts - circa 1903. Volume is tight, bright, square, and clean. Collectible. No significant flaws. Quote (p. 160) : " ._._. all but Alba Longa and one little pig.
