About this Item
Alice in Wonderland Carpenter Color Model Cel (Walt Disney, 1951). "Little oysters? Little oysters? But answer there came none. And this was scarcely odd because they'd been eaten, every one." The carpenter comes to the unhappy conclusion that he has missed out on an oyster dinner in this scene from Disney's Alice in Wonderland. Presented here is an original hand-inked, hand-painted color model cel from this production. The large 7.5" x 5" full-figure image of the carpenter holding the menu of oyster dishes is on a trimmed cel. This fantastic image from a classic Disney feature actually highlights a small inconsistency in the film. We see the menu with red lettering first at the 18:57 and this image appears a minute later but with all black lettering. The cel is in a 13.5" x 10.5" mat with 10" x 7" window. Very Good, with Minor handling. Collector's piece for Alice and Disney collectors. Seller Inventory # ABE-1655597468777
