Add to basketJames Riley was one of the first black historians who began to write after Robert Peterson's landmark book, Only The Ball Was White. Here Riley choose a First, Second, and Third Team; as well as Honorable Mention and Other Stars-From the East-West All-Star Game; Older Stars, and a Potpourri of Players. To show the depth of Black Baseball, Riley's Third Team has Hall of Famers Roy Campanella, Willie Foster, Mule Suttles, and Willard Brown. Has dark green boards with no lettering on the outside. The book is in very good condition, very had to find in this original hard back edition. I have hundreds of publications on the Negro Leagues and Black Sports in stock. Discounts are available when you purchase multiple items on the same order.
