First edition, variant [cheaper] binding in publisher's pictorially decorated green cloth titled in dark green on the spine and cover. Includes two stories; Allan the Hunter and Prince: Another Lion. Likely [cheaper] edition since it is lacking the two color cover, publisher's device on spine, and even though it states "illustrated", it does not contain the two plates. Larger size edition that is approx. 7 5/8" X 5 3/4". Whatmore F11 (7c). Boston: Lothrop Publishing Company (1898), 111 pages. VG. Cloth shows some wear and modest soil. Gift inscription dated Christmas 1908 and also an ink stamped name to f.f.e.
