About this Item
As New; see scans and description. Box-shipped; no bags here. New York: Condé Nast, 1999. The September, 1999 issue of Allure Magazine. Quarto, photo-illustrated perfect-bound wraps, 198 pp. As New - quite flawless, squeaky clean. All cardstock subscription offers still inside, untouched, and even the Estee Lauder 'Dazzling' scent-sample page remains folded and adhered shut - and still bears the scent from 1999, as this copy goes to its zip lock bag for archival storage. Might still be there when you get it. Cover models is a don't-mess-wit-me Julianna Margulies, in jeans and a bold belt buckle. Ouch. Just inside starts the Murderer's Row of supermodels and will-be supermodels in big, splashy, elegant pro photographer ads - including Shirley Manson - with no makeup - doing her best Franz Kafka impers, imho, and Milla Jovovich with a very diff - but fetching - look. And of course this continues, sumptuously, throughout, and graces articles as well as modeled ads. Some enjoyable topics - remember, there are a rich 198 pages of fashion, celebrity, style, health and food journalism with very professional photography to match - include, but are hardly limited to, Kate Moss; Marilyn Monroe; Shirley Manson; Milla Jovovich; Daryl Hannah; Susan May Pratt; Amy Smart; Jane Windsor; 27 New Colors; Wrong Bra?; VIP Secrets; Bold, Brave Haircuts; etc., etc. No Joke. A beautifully-preserved example of an early issue of a topflight genre publication - one which has had Linda Wells at the helm since its 1991 inception. Can you say 'collectible' ? Shipped in a sturdy, new, protective box - no baggin' it here. LPR14. Seller Inventory # 60969
