8vo., First Edition, with 23 plates on 16; handsomely bound in full navy crushed morocco, sides with gilt frame border, back with raised bands, second and fourth compartments lettered and ruled in gilt, all other compartments tooled in gilt, gilt top, hand-made endpapers, ribbon marker, a most attractive copy ideal as a gift or for presentation. The story of Jan Baalsrud, one of a team of Norwegian saboteurs attacking a German aircraft base in Arctic Norway. Intercepted by the enemy, Baalsrud was the sole survivor of the party, left alone on an arctic island with the Germans alerted to his presence.
