These volumes are "devoted to shorter works on American Indian languages, (mainly of North America), including some previously unpublished material' -- from the preface. First edition (first printing). Small, faint stains to cover of Volume 1 else a fine set, no dust jackets. From the estate of linguist Victor Golla, with his name and date on the front free endpaper of volume 2. In addition to editing these volumes, Golla authored the book California Indian Languages, the first comprehensive work on the subject.
