Here is a resource for historians and geneologists. Part of a series supported by the American Jewish Committee and the Anti-Defamation League to make clear the contributions of American Jews to the war effort; at this time anti-Semitism was still an unofficial policy in the USA and it was neccesary for Jews to "prove" they were good citizens. These are Very Good (Plus) to Near Fine copies of the First Edition. Bright blue cloth bindings; lettering in blue and gilt. Clean texts; 356 pages and 590 pages, indexed. The second volume is an "Honor Roll" of Jewish participants, listed by state, along with their various awards and decorations. This volume "compiled by the Buraeu of War Records of the National Jewish Welfare Board." A few tiny spots of wear, else Fine copies. The dustjackets are complete but show sunning on the spines and around the margins, with a few chips and wrinkles thrown in; in archival plastic protectors Size: 8vo - over 7�" - 9�" tall.
