Octavo. Contemporary reverse calf. Two volumes bound in one. Complete and including 26 coloured chromolithographic plates which are the first to be found in a book. Boards detached. Occasional slight foxing else pages generally nice and clean. Other than the boards, the binding is tight. Stain to first five pages but text clearly legible. Plates nice and clean. An important American herbal. Scarce in the first edition in any form. A good, clean copy.
