Poster with 4 illustrations by Moritz Coschell from the first illustrated edition, published in 1901, an order form ( Verlangzettel ) at the reverse. Twice folded. One edge dusty, some edge tears. Address of a bookshop pasted outside the printed area. Bookshop window posters and order forms were widely distributed by publishers, designed to please with nice pictures and winsome lettering. When they had had their use they were discarded. Moritz Coschell (1872-1943) was a talented Austrian painter with a long career in Berlin, until ousted by the Nazis because he was a Jew (though protestant and a veteran army officer). Books are in good antiquarian condition, unless described otherwise. Serious defects are stated, minor defects not always. All prices are in Euro, tax included, but without postage and bank charges which are at buyer's expense. Shipping of books after receipt of payment. Books may be returned within 7 working days (prior notification welcome). A full refund can be expected if the books do not match the description stated.
We also accept Paypal. Only in rare instances we can accept a cheque.
