I recently purchased a wonderful collection of books. They are an eclectic lot, that include books in many categories.
I was a bookseller for 30 years in New York City, specializing in literature and the arts. Currently, I have about 3,500 books at home in a variety of subjects ? fiction and nonfiction, including children's, religious, history, literature, cooking, self-help, coffee table, etc.
I hope Abebooks will be vehicle for me to first find homes for this recent collection of books. They include a wide ranging collection of art, literature and history. There are books on many other subjects, and most are in very good to fine condition. If all goes well I will then add to my inventory on Abebooks, from my stock at home. In New York City, my little shop near Lincoln Center was often visited by writers, musicians and book lovers of every description. I also sold vinyl (LPs) and we were a haunt for many record collectors as well. I'm proud to say we were twice visited by Gabe Pressman, a former heralded Network newsman, who helped make the shop somewhat renown in book circles. At that time I specialized in 20th century literature and the Arts. Being near Lincoln Center, we sold many rare books on music as well. I want to share my passion for the written word with others, and feel that Abebooks will help me achieve that goal.
