First edition. Illustrated with 12 engraved plates, small square 12mo, pp viii, 256, rather used marked and thumbed internally, one plate has been trimmed and mounted, one page of text has been heavily repaired (no loss of text), front and rear hinges cracked but no weakness, a small early signature on the front endpaper, original quarter leather and cloth a bit worn and rubbed, lacking parts of the spine.
