1st edition in original cord bound wraps. Some edgewear and spotting of covers, spine is starting to show some overall wear. Interior colour plates present (8 in total), but the one on the front cover was removed. Still a very nice copy of this early work by the Canadian author. A little more about him : a Canadian novelist and Presbyterian minister who became one of the best-selling authors of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Born: 1860 in Glengarry County , Died: 1937 He served as a minister in western Canada and later in Winnipeg His experiences on the Canadian frontier deeply influenced his writing. Ralph Connor?s novels focused on Life in the Canadian West Moral and religious values Community, courage, and personal growth, the challenges faced by settlers, missionaries, and Indigenous peoples. His stories often combined adventure with strong moral lessons, which made them very popular with readers of his time. He was one of the first Canadian authors to achieve international bestseller status.
