1946 First Edition. Written in French. Tight hardcover in good condition with fair dustjacket. Folio. Off-white boards & backstrip with light teal illustration of a walking angel on the front board and light teal title on the backstrip. The entire book is printed on coated stock. This book features 60 pages of text in the front of the book following by a section of 128 Full-Page Black & White Plates along with 24 Full-Page Color Plates that are mounted on tipped in framed textured cardboard backing. Section in back of book which describes/analyzes each Plate. The top of the pages is dyed dark tan. This book is clean & very tight. The front board has light foxing from the inside of the dustjacket as well as a little wear. The angel illustration is bright & colorful. The back board has some foxing from the inside of the dustjacket as well as a little wear. The backstrip is lightly discolored from the inside of the dustjacket with a little edgewear on the top & bottom. The front endpaper is lightly discolored. The back endpaper has foxing and discoloration. The pages are in very good condition with no markings. The dustjacket has no clipped corners. The dustjacket has some edgewear. The top edge has one 1 1/4" closed tear and the bottom edge has 2 small chips. The inside of the dustjacket has foxing that shows through to the outside. Ships within 24 hours.
