About this Item

Description:

Number 23 of 1250 copies. Quarto (28 cm), pp. 217. Blue cloth with gold titling, frontispiece of author. No jacket as issued. Forward and commentary by Steve Raymond, introduction by Roderick Haig-Brown, one of the author's good friends. Includes three chapters Lambuth did not intend to be part of the manuscript, on Freshwater Fishing West of the Cascades, Rainbow Trout on the Dry Fly, and Salt Water Fishing. With appendix on Steel Forms and Rod Designs. Illustrated throughout with photos, diagrams and figures. Derrydale Press originally planned to issue the volume as a limited edition, but Lambuth preferred a more widely available trade edition and withdrew the manuscript, so it was published posthumously by Champoeg for the first time.
