Animal Farm - George Orwell First US Edition, Harcourt, Brace and Company 1946 Gilt-stamped black cloth, pp. [iv], 1-2, 3-118, [4], first printing in black cloth with "First American Edition" stated on copyright page in original jacket with $1.75 price and lacking the "Printed in U.S.A." slug on rear flap; Good+ condition book with a chip to the head of spine and light rubbing to extremities, in a VG- jacket with chips to spine ends, 1" closed tear at head of front joint, small holes mid-spine and to fore-edge, light chipping and tears to edges, lightly rubbed.
