Eight volume set, 4 vols. of text and 4 vols of plates, presumed first edition thus with 1834 date to title page and no mention of additional printings, all are bound in purplish-red cloth which has faded to tan on the spines, with leather spine labels, covers a bit worn and soiled, few hinges cracked but solid, some occasional foxing, small "Library - Halstead Place" label to each front pastedown, dampstain to base of title page and front endpaper of third and fourth plate vol., otherwise all are solid, a Good+ set. There are 532 numbered plates, though some are more than one page, I count a total of 732 plate pages, most of which are colored. Seller Inventory # 202931
