New York: Riddle Books Ltd., Harper & Brothers, 1948. First edition, 1948. Fun book with color illustrations of animals on split pages so that kids can create imaginary beasts by turning the pages. The left hand sides have descriptive information about the pictures that create amusing narratives about those made-up animals. Green oblong hardcover with dustjacket. The book is in good to very good condition with some rubbing to the corners and spine ends, good hinges, sound text block, clean pages, name and 1948 date neatly written at the top edge of the front free endpaper, no other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped [1.00] and is in fair condition with chips, tears and clear tape repairs, but fairly little paper loss. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Fair. Oblong 8vo.
