About this Item

Fifth printing of the true first edition, published six months after the first printing. Very good in lime green boards with some soiling and rubbing; slight loss at corner tips. Binding firm with slight wear to paper near bottom of hinges. Interior complete with frontispiece and seven full-page illustrations intact, in excellent condition with slight foxing. Small name and date on flyleaf. Text mostly clean with occasional stain or smudge, and edge chip to three pages not affecting text. Overall a very nice copy. Early printings of this classic title in collectible condition are becoming quite scarce.
