Written by Francis Maseres, a former Attorney- General of Lower Canada, the book is strongly critical of Justices Mabone, Dunn and Panet, for their misadministration of justice in the Province; and for their placing of the blame on the terms of the Quebec Act rather than on their own misconduct.
