Add to basket105pp. First published in England in 1938. This 1953 copy: No printings cited, presumed First Printing; 1954 printing apparently states, "Second Printing". From copyright page of this copy: "Copyright 1946 / by / Pamphleteers, Inc." Leonard E. Reed, "Publisher's Foreword to the Pamphleteers' Edition of Anthem", pp. 7-9; "Author's Foreword", pp. 11-13. Light green cloth with bold black title and author name lettering on front cover and spine (along with 'Caxton'); pages are thicker than common, almost card-like. Spine sunned to tan, but lettering remains bold; lighter sunning across top front cover (1/2" strip, angling up, and diminishing across cover, toward top right corner; 1/8" abrasion on very edge right front cover, up 1/8" from corner, with tiny bit of wear at lower edge corner, 1/8" from corner toward spine edge; thin (1/16") age-wear across spine ends (doesn't look rubbed, so much as just diminished by sunning); very tops of cover edges sunned, along with spine edge; text very lightly, uniformly age-toned; Coat-of-Arms Ex-Libris sticker (4" x 2 1/4"), matching the color of the endpapers and neatly placed on inside front cover, is that of Ruth E. Abbott, with '1954' penciled in on sticker border at bottom right; Hexagonal (1/2" x 1 3/4") Bookseller sticker pasted on at lower left ffep, near hinge. Binding still strong (not cracked), corners sharp, pages respectfully or carefully handled, so no creases or cracks.

All domestic orders will be sent by USPS Media Mail, unless some other mode of shipping is requested or required and accepted in advance of shipping. International orders will be sent by USPS International Flat-Rate Priority envelope or box, unless the current weight and size restrictions cannot be met [e.g.: (1) the item is too large to fit the International Flat-Rate envelope or box or (2) the item weighs over 4 lbs. or (3) insurance is requested or required (e.g., the book is worth $40.00 or more)--in each such case, the item will be sent, only if the given destination country allows for it, by signing for the item.] All books sent by USPS Flat-Rate unpadded envelope (or padded envelope, moreover) will be wrapped in paper and packed between cardboard sheets larger than the book or with cardboard affixed at the corners, in order to prevent damage to the book during shipment. Books sent in boxes will also be wrapped in paper and suitably packed to avoid movement in box. The goal here is to ship essentially at cost, rather than to reap additional profit beyond the cost of shipping, thus keeping the customer's cost for shipping as low as possible.
