Anthony Gilbert was the pen name of Lucy Beatrice Malleson (1899 1973), an English crime writer and a cousin of actor-screenwriter Miles Malleson. She also wrote fiction and a 1940 autobiography, Three-a-Penny, as Anne Meredith. This copy is near fine in gray cloth with gilt and black titles and designs on the spine and front cover. The book leans a bit and the spine is creased, but no other marks or damage. The unclipped DJ is excellent. . PB24.
