One of several poems by Kipling dedicated to dogs, this one chronicling the short life & foibles of his Scottish Terrier in the form of "apologies" to his Master for "sins" like stealing a shoe, ugliness, & general mischief. In 17 pages of text, with drawings by Cecil Aldin on every other page. A FIRST EDITION, First Printing, from 1932, this slim hardcover has decorative red/black/cream paper over quarter black cloth-covered boards. Condition is VG: moderate rubbing & fading to exterior, with slight loss at all corners. Sewn binding is secure, with some loosening; rear hinge starting. Interior is completely clean & unmarked save for offsetting/toning to all endpapers. No DJ, as issued.
