Landscape 4to. First edition. Original red cloth backed pictorial boards. Block edges stained red. Dark blue endpapers. Illustrated with 20 colour plates. Spine with partial splits to the cloth and very small loss but the hinges are firm. Light wear to the edges of the boards. Small contemporary label of a Boston bookseller to the bottom edge of the front free endpaper. Contents clean and fresh. Very good +. A very nice copy of this classic children's book. 'B bit it', 'G got it', 'T took it', and 'UVWXYZ all had a large slice and went off to bed'.
