Book is tight, square, and unmarked but for a F/O name on the front wrap and first blank page; occasional pencil notations and marginal notes. Book Condition: Good; light edgewear; repaired tear at tail; repaired missing small pieces on spine; scattered small oil stains on the front wrap. No DJ. Printed card stock wraps. Wraps are not bent or folded; spine is not creased or split, text is secure in binding. 345 pp (included appendices and index) + Collotype figures, B&W photos, and two pages of color pottery pictures 4to. This book is a landmark publication that transformed Southwestern archaeology. It provides an in-depth analysis of Pueblo II (Basketmaker III to Pueblo III) village excavations and reshapes the cultural and taxonomic classification of Ancestral Puebloans. The excavations were carried on during three field seasons 1931-33. 234 Rooms were cleared, which included 195 storage and living rooms and 29 subterranean and semisubterranian pit houses and kivas.
