Returned items must be received in the same condition in which they were originally shipped. Books returned with new damage, including but not limited to detached text blocks, split hinges, broken bindings, or moisture damage, may be subject to partial refund or denial of refund depending on severity and cause of damage.

Many books offered by Front Porch Rare Books are antique, vintage, collectible, or out-of-print items that may be decades to a century old or more. While every effort is made to provide detailed and accurate condition descriptions and photographs, normal age-related characteristics such as delicate bindings, aged adhesives, and fragile paper are common and should be expected.

Buyers acknowledge that collectible and vintage books require careful handling. Damage caused by improper opening, forcing of bindings, failure to support the spine while reading, or other handling inconsistent with standard rare-book care may not be eligible for full return or refund.

Condition descriptions reflect the state of the book at the time of sale and shipment. Any concerns regarding condition should be addressed prior to purchase, and additional photographs or clarification are always happily provided upon request.

Books valued at $75 or more are shipped with insurance for buyer protection. High-value orders may require signature confirmation. Excess postage on multi-book orders is gladly refunded.
