About this Item

This book concentrates on certain members of one particular branch of the Armstrong family, those who served in the Locomotive department of The Great Western Railway. While the biographical side is the main theme, opportunity is taken to introduce relevant railway history where it has any bearing on the individuals concerned, to portray the surroundings and times in which they lived, and to throw side-lights on the individuals who came into contact with the Armstrongs at various times. The D/W although intact is badly torn with large open tears and chips to its front spine and rear. Otherwise it is still a good tight reading copy. Seller Inventory # 03576
