This is a stated second printing in September, 1975 of the First Edition printed October,1974 in very good plus condition. Covers have light soiling . There is a small crease on the top corner of the back cover and larger crease on the bottom corner of the front cover. Otherwise, the book is clean, tight and unmarked. Profusely illustrated with drawings, maps, charts and photographs in black and white. 241 pages plus an extensive bibliography and index. Cover image is a "Large Obsidian Blade "found in Malheur, Oregon.

Friends of the Curtis Memorial Library, based in Brunswick, Maine is a non-profit corporation that exists solely to assist the Curtis Memorial Library in its many activities, principally through fundraising by the sale of used books. Operating through a retail outlet located at 200 Maine St. in Brunswick and through its on-line sales activities, Curtis Friends operates only with volunteers from the local community and sells only those books donated by its constituents. Curtis Friends has been in existence for several decades.
