Both volumes are bound in matching cobalt blue, polished calf with embossed decorations and raised bands on the spine, by Mansel's No 1. All edges gilt. Marbled end papers. Bindings have very slight edge and corner wear and scuffing, but are most attractive and smoothly polished to the touch. Internally very clean, no former owner's names or marks. No foxing. A very attractive set.
