Good minus with slight bowing to cloth boards, some soiling to cloth, a few minor small stains in margins of a few pages. Lacking dust jacket. No prior owner markings, no underlining, no highlighting. A serviceable copy for study purposes. A seminal work of 20th century conjuring written by an amateur magician who was an accountant by profession. Often disparaged due to a persistent rumor (popularized by Dai Vernon in his Vernon Touch column in Genii magazine) that the material in the book was not Kaplan's own creation, but instead that of S. Leo Horowitz aka Mohammed Bey. The fact is, a rebuttal to the Vernon Touch column appeared in a subsequent issue of Genii, but is seldom cited. Further evidence supporting Mr. Kaplan's side exists but has not yet been made public. 341 pages. Seller Inventory # 126343
