folio, 2 thick heavy volumes bound in original maroon color cloth with mosderate wear and soiling of covers, corners bumped, top edge gilt, other edges uncut, pp. frontis, [6], 600 and 760 with lots of illustrations. Paper generally bright, but darkening inward from edges of the volumes. Binding sound, contents very good, There is damp stain to back cover of Vol. 2, but no evidence of damp stain inside the book. Overall, good to very good set. Note, due to size and weight, shipping outside the USA or priority shipping within the USA will me significantly more expensive than an average book.
