A bit tired externally but nothing that a reback would not cure.Illustrated with a frontispiece, one double-paged plate, one colour plate, and in-text illustrations throughout.An extensive study on the art of plastering, looking at how the decorative art has developed over time.In particular this volume focuses on the development in England from the sixteenth to the eighteenth centuries, with illustrations showing notable examples of plasterwork in houses.With interesting chapters looking at the stucco of the classic period and the Italian Renaissance, the Adam Brothers, and a look at contemporary plasterwork.Written by architect and craftsman George P, Bankart.Collated, complete. Rebound in a cloth binding. Externally, rear board may detach with further handling. Cloth to the spine is lifting. Label to the head of the spine. Boards and spine are a little rubbed and marked, heavier to the boards. Light bumping to the extremities. A small amount of loss to the head and tail of the spine and to the front joint. Front hinge is strained. Bookseller's label and stamp to the front paste down, stamp to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound, gathering from page 337 to the rear endpaper is working loose. Pages are bright and generally clean with some handling marks. Good Only. Seller Inventory # 879P49
