A scarce first edition of Rankin Poore's work on art theory, illustrated throughout and complete with the original dust wrapper. This work completes a trio of books on art theory by Rankin Poore, the prior works being 'Pictorial Composition' and 'The Conception of Art.Written by Henry Rankin Poore, an American painter, critic and lecturer. With eighty illustrations demonstratingA scarce work, complete with an even scarcer dust wrapper. In the publisher's original full cloth binding with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart, with just a touch of general wear. Dust wrapper has large amounts of loss to the head and tail of the spine, as well as to the rear board, which is torn. Spine is sunned with marks to the covers. Internally, generally firmly bound, with a slight occasional strain. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed. Seller Inventory # 807R38
