Written by Ralph Linton, an American anthropologist, and Paul S. Wingert, an American art historian and professor of art history at Columbia University. In collaboration with Rene d'Harnoncourt, an Austrian-born American art curator. With some illustrations by Miguel Covarrubias, a Mexican painter, illustrator, ethnologist, and art historian.
